Feature article: Period Instruments

The family of period instruments is large: harpsichord, organ, piano, viola da gamba, lute, baroque cello, recorder, transverse flute, theorbo, cornet, harp, sackbut ... to name only the most well-known. And the repertory of period "vintage" instruments is ever growing... all the way to Debussy or Stravinsky. We have chosen, in this case, to focus first on the profession of period instrumentalist and its evolution.
