Music in the face of indifference

We would like to present our best wishes to the classical music profession for the new season. But the budget for culture has been reduced by 6 %. The local authorities are on a diet. So is private sponsorship. It is unclear whether banks and businesses might even donate the necessary funds to the Philharmonie de Paris, which is supposed to be up and running by 2014.
