Musical Intermittence

Various employers' organizations, led by the MEDEF (the largest union of employers in France), are calling for the abolition of the status of intermittent performing artist on the grounds that it will cost a billion euros either to the national unemployment insurance (which is funded by companies and their employees), or, if it were to be funded by the state, to all taxpayers.
